The Resource Box is your Little Friend

18 Aug

For quite some time now internet marketers have learned that article marketing can be the solution for substantial traffic and search engine success. More and more webmasters have seen the positive results that articles have created for the traffic of their sites. Some have even produced websites primarily devoted to providing articles that could be read by their visitors and have links that can lead to many other sites that are related to the subjects of the articles.

For example, these websites may feature many articles about a whole lot of topics. When a visitor reads the articles, they will find at the end of the article a resource box that can contain a link to a different website. Naturally the website linked would be in relation to the article. Lets say the article is about the vending machine business, then the resource box could contain a link that goes to a website or blog that sells vending machines.

A resource box is usually found at the end of an article. Often they will have the name of the author, a brief description of the author, a brief description of the sponsoring site and a web link. If a reader liked the article, they would have the interest to find out where the article came from and to read more. The resource box can be their link to the source of the article and this will entice them to go to the site and do some more reading or research for the subject or topic they are interested in.

Like the article, the resource box has to be eye-catching to capture the action of the reader. While the resource box contains only a small space, providing the right information for the resource box will give substantial temptation for the reader to click the link to your site.

Now we know what resource boxes are, but what are the reasons for having a great resource box? Mainly its for driving visitors to your site. Many websites will allow articles to be placed on their sites because they can utilize other peoples articles to fill their pages. By creating the content, when people click on your resource box, you generate traffic that can be counted upon as potential customers.

So what would be good content for your resource box? Basically it should be keywords designed to make readers want to find out more. Usually the best are ones that continue the feel of the article yet leave the reader wanting for additional information. A great example will have a strong call to action sentence such as “To discover more about vending machines and how you can profit by having your own please visit…” and then provide a link back to your site that contains your targeted keyword.

Resource boxes can also make use of all the creativity they can get. You only get a small space for your resource box so make the most from it. Never underestimate the strength of your resource box. They may be small in size but they should provide a significant amount of visitors to your site. A boring resource box will rarely get job done. Be fun and creative but at the same time demonstrate that you have a great deal more to offer and observe your visitor stats take off!
